IMO: no.
The original isn’t terrible but it’s still worse than the manga. And the remake is straight garbage
Depends on what you’re into. If you like 80/90’s low budget schlock with homoerotic tension, then yes. 1000x yes. Great vibes, just old and restricted animation. Get wine drunk and sing the opening song with someone you love
2017 maybe not so much. It continues the story but the studio didn’t have the chops to make a drama show

The old ones are better than the 2017 one. But still worth watching in my opinion
