The nurses all love when Jim is the on call ER doctor cause he doesn’t take any removed. I remember this 19 year old kid came in and said he had a toothache and Jim was just like, are you kidding me? And shot him.

I heard one time Jim gave a patient six months to live… the patient claimed he didn’t have insurance and would never pay him in time, so Jim gave him 9 months.

I hate this story. If this was true he performed medical procedure based on incorrectly obtained consent.

No it fucking isn’t. While I agree (and hope) that it is most likely fake I’m fairly certain, that it was intended to to farm wholesomness and other warm feelings. If you laugh after reading this, you need to examine if you don’t have some empathy deficit disorder.

Edit: OK there is a “thankfully they both died” at the end that was not part of the original tweet, that I missed. I was wrong.

It’s hard to get people to donate blood at all, and O is the rarest type. It probably happens a lot. And if they’re out of something else, O is universal blood so maybe some gets used for a guy with AB-. But people with O can only take O.

To further this, the negative and positive value also matters. Someone with a negative type can only take negative blood, whereas a positive type can accept both.

        Here's a little chart:

I wish it were easier to get people to donate. Just this morning I heard a radio advertisement for the blood service that included the line ‘please schedule and attend an appointment’, which seems wild that so many people book a time then don’t show up.
