arnt they coming out with a new series? i dont know what they can do witha new one, since they kind wrapped everything up. unless its one of those “new threats” like new different angels.
They can do the same they did with the reboot ones: Heavily imply it’s post-instrumentality fuckery that somehow reset the world, and now everything’s the same but a bit different again but somehow some people sorta remember stuff from before.
They are making a new series. I don’t know how it is going to work, but Yoko Taro (the moon-headed Nier Automata guy) is going to be in charge of it, and he is about the only person I can see pulling it off.

It is hard to distinguish that from the pre-instrumentality fuckery.
