    Recording music.

I have an ongoing project and a backlog of material that needs to get recorded. Work is a grind that takes up most of my time and energy though, and when I’m not doing that I give a lot of time to my son, so it’s not always easy to carve out music time for myself. Usually ends up being an hour or two maybe a couple times a week. But I do wish I spent more time doing it. It’s fun. It’s cathartic. It keeps me energized and sharp.

Life outside of work. I’d love more time to spend with my wife and dog. Time to watch movies, play video games, hike, read, camp. Hell if I didn’t have to work so much I might actually do some strength training.

Learning things I can actually use. I learned a lot of stuff that I can’t do anything about and I feel a sense of crushing hopelessness day by day, and it increases the more I know. But I don’t regret it. I regret all the times I was depressed and did nothing, not even learn about the things I could do, and feeling like I lost opportunities to do something meaningful.

Not staring at screens. There’s so much more I could be doing. Things that I actually enjoy doing but I don’t do any of it. I just sit inside watching videos of other people doing those things.

    Taking pictures and video.

Which is kind of funny since I do that a lot. But there’s a lot that I wished I had more records and memories of. And I wished they were in a better order.

But also because it’s something I really like doing and transforms even boring walk routes into hunts for interesting angles or objects.

Spend more time studying, both past and present.

And less time wasted on socializing with self-important jerks.
