I think it’s because it’s entirely unmoderated (at least it was the last time I checked) and while they claim that defeats censorship they also realize that having CP everywhere ain’t a good look
I joined Lemmy back in 2020 and have been using it as @qaz@lemmy.ml until somewhere in 2023 when I switched to lemmy.world. I’m interested in systemd/Linux, FOSS, and Selfhosting.

It’s working for me now too

It shows a near vertical spike

They seemed unfamiliar with the workings of Mastodon, so it doesn’t seem like it. There doesn’t seem to be technical vision behind the proposal yet.

I saw you joined it, what do you think about it so far? They mentioned non transparency of algorithms, and I feel like FOSS would help a lot for that. They also mentioned more regulation, but I’m worried that might lead to regulatory capture, disspropionately affecting smaller communities while big tech remains largely unimpacted.
Also a bit ironic they use gmail lol

It’s on Zoom, here’s the invite https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87415126197

It’s like they bought into OpenAI, then never got any updates or made any progress
I think they have access to the same models as OpenAI but choose to use smaller models to achieve higher margins / manage costs when people are using it all day long.

The best kind of time

They use Debian on the ISS

I’ve heard from other people that it adopts specific writing patterns and behaviors from the people using it. I think ChatGPT saves and summarizes chat conversations to personalize the chatbot, but I’m not sure since I don’t use it myself.

web mail, calendars, contacts, etc

…if not as feature rich.
Nextcloud has groupware, opencloud doesn’t right?
Looks interesting, any suggestions about how to get started? Is there a mobile app I can use to play songs?
EDIT: There is a mobile app that automatically tracks what music you’re playing (Link), it works quite well.

It’s just a form of marketing to convince investors the technology will be able to replace jobs, I don’t get why this is being upvoted.
$15/mo for 2 TB seems quite expensive tbh. My Nextcloud server with 1 TiB of storage costs €5 a month.
I mod several communities so I never block people, because I want to see their posts and comments
