You don’t have to be right 100% of the time when scanning for vulnerabilities. You only have to be right once. It’s a fundamentally different game.


It’s a great way to poke at software looking for security holes en masse. Lots of vulnerabilities are ready to be exploited at scale with LLMs.
If anything, department of war spending on AI might prolong the bubble.

Just because another security flaw exists, it doesn’t invalidate the first security flaw.

Having a separate key for the trunk was very common historically, not sure why.
Off topic, but reminder to everyone who needs it, close up photos of keys is a security problem. With relatively little training you can recreate a key from a photo. If you know the person who posted the photo, that’s an easy target.
As long as you recommend a basic distro it’s fine, most people will never notice the problems of Linux.
Ubuntu rightfully gets a lot of hate but it’s pretty easy for noobs to use.


The whole internet of things was a mistake. I say that as one of the biggest tech enthusiasts I know.
Secure software is mathematically possible, but secure engineering is mathematically improbable.


Like every day? Yeah it’s worse now but Google is still useful for a lot of things.
That being said, I do have AdBlock so it’s a different internet for me.


It’s easy to remember just the successes of the past and ignore the fact that the vast majority of media then was shit too… we’ve simply forgotten about the things that ended up being mediocre. Survivorship bias is really really strong.
Are they a minority though? Because the last election kinda proved otherwise.
