I don’t see how backups are easier - Nextcloud AIO has borg backup built in as well.
Haven’t had to think about updates, they just happen.
And I haven’t seen a single advert, not sure what that’s about either.
But I had some problems with the windows client updates. That was a couple years back. Crashed explorer on update. Back then a restart was necessary to update anyway.

I have had zero issues for two years now using Nextcloud AIO. Use is heavy with multiple users. Planning to set up a personal one next.

Yes, firefox android has a reading mode. Unsure what it loads but it rules. Does not work on all pages but many benefit from it
No-one commenting seems to have read the article. They are raising the recommended specs due to desktop software and web sites being more resource intensive.
Edit: to add, I would not recommend 6GB RAM for desktop use to anyone. I would say the very minimum is 8GB nowadays.

Thank you for all the explanations! So I just need a second domain and apache will redirect 443 from that domain to 7777. The docker part I understood but having two apps on 443 on different domains but one machine is what was new to me.
According to this it is not supported?
However, I should learn how to do subdomains and the reverse proxy then… Which is another question.
I have until now a free domain which is somethig like mysubdomain.ddns.net. So I presume I need to get a paid domain for this so I can do subdomains
I had understood it has to be 443 and 80 for it to work, but this was wrong I guess. Maybe it was only a limitation of Nextcloud AIO which I would have used otherwise…?
I would recommend firefox + ublock origin also for phone. Install firefox, and though the menu add the extensions “video background play fix” and “ublock origin”.
