I don’t know how many normies you talk to, the vast majority of Apple product owners I meet wouldn’t even know what a proprietary system is, let alone what makes Apple exceptionally bad for it. If it isn’t for jewelery, many of those people are also just buying Apple machines because there is a perceived and real quality gap between them and other options. They think there’s just two major OS’s to chose from and a Chromebook if you’re poor.

Its true though, it is funny and annoying when people who understand what an Apple product is buys it and then acts surprised that it functions as advertised. I think most of these articles are written by people who are trying to warn average people and make sure the issue is platformed.

I cannot express in words strongly enough just how little respect I have for who has the right to make what decisions in a wholly genocidal and imperialistic system. You think the legality is the problem, grow the fuck up. Do you know the indigenous name for the land you live on? Ask yourself why you would only notice the legitimacy of the US once its legal system is subverted and not when it fucking commits genocide to survive.

Who fucking cares? Genuinely. Who the absolute fuck cares if he changes the name of a genocidal monstrosity of an organization? On top of that, why the fuck should anyone respect the US legal authority at all? “Gulf of America” is a problem but not “The Grand Canyon” or “Mount Rushmore?” I wonder why you’d draw that line specifically.

A co-op is fundamentally not capitalism if it does indeed afford ownership of the means of production and value of the products proportionately to its members. Capitalism != commerce, that misconception is a very powerful pro-Capitalist tool. Capitalism is specifically a system with its own relations of power organized around private ownership, profit maximization, and infinite growth; it does not refer to just the concepts of wealth or trade or even profit driven organizing.
