They’ve gone through phases over the last couple years but they do keep getting better. I feel like I constantly find myself saying “spafford is crushing it right now.”

My opinions on that have shifted.

When I was young and stupid I was more conservative, and I was pro gun. Then I became very anti gun. Now, as the world gets shittier and more dangerous, I am drifting more towards pro gun.

It’s a funny thing. It’s made me realize that being a pacifist or being anti gun is, in a way, almost a privileged position to take. It’s easy to say “I’m anti violence” when your existence isn’t being threatened, it’s a lot harder to stomach as the threats get more real.

I personally would rather have more daylight in the mornings than in the evenings during winter. Makes it way easier to wake up. Maybe lots of other people feel the same way.

Umphrey’s Mcgee, more times than I can count. They’re a jam band that does a lot of improv, excellent jams, they get really prog-y, and they do amazing covers.

Spafford. Also a jam band. Some of the best jams and guitar playing I’ve seen.

Have you played survival mode? It’s a little annoying at first, but now that I’ve gotten into it it feels so natural and I almost can’t play on normal.

You included hauling cargo, which opens up a whole new can of worms. Moving would be impossible. As would stocking stores and businesses, as there would be no last mile options for freight. Unless we’re including horse-drawn wagons.

Sweets. I have a huge sweet tooth.

Really though. It’s crazy how much high is at your fingertips these days. Back in the day you had to buy weed and usually roll it into a joint or blunt, or at the very least pack it into a bowl. And either way it was getting smoked. Maybe you had a brownie once in a while if someone you knew was making them.

I think I tried Platinum for a bit but yeah it was too cumbersome to play on my phone.
