I’ve played more hours of Doom and Doom II (plus lots of mods) than I care to admit. None of the recent versions grab me like the originals. They are simple and fun, can be hard and devious.
Doom 3 is to dark with horror and jumpscares. Not fun. Doom 2016 forces you to melee and glory kill. I’d like to choose how I play. Not fun.
Death Stranding. Felt like controlling a drunk Uber Eats pizza delivery guy with a bottled foetus. Can’t see the point.
Same here. Some of my favorite games have silent characters (Half-Life, Skyrim). Some have speaking characters (Serious Sam, Duke Nukem, Max Payne). But Geralt is just annoying.
Haven’t played any of the RDR series. I have RDR2 but it won’t work in my Linux box.
A game I had high hopes for was Witcher 3, simply based on internet hype. Somehow it doesn’t work for me. Maybe I was expecting a better Skyrim. The main character is too opinionated. The immersion is not there for me.

It’s one of those things that sounds great in sci-fi, like flying cars, until you realise that the world is full of awful people that immediately repurpose any new tech for filthy lucre / inflicting suffering / power grabbing.
Or you can just use your common sense and save yourself the cost of this ugly piece of junk.
People tend to avoid you less if you don’t look like a sneaky perv, so that’s another bonus.
Plus, you’ll not be funding Meta and you’ll have one less piece of rubbish in a drawer somewhere that needs recycling after one month of use.
We tasted some of that self regulating ‘free market’ a while ago. Banks were having huge profits from the housing bubble until the subprime crisis hit, banks went into default, and the losses were picked up by public money.

I’ve played it for hours trying to be a completionist, and loved it. Never experienced what you are experiencing. The bike isn’t as smooth as it could be, but it’s not that bad.
It’s one of those games that never leaves my drive and I revisit occasionally just to hang about and climb stuff.

In my defense it was the start of a new millennium, Internet seemed like it would democratize knowledge access and speed up development of sustainable technologies in all fields. Cold war was behind us, so it seemed like history was done and we could enjoy some stability after a bloody XX century.
But yeah, I should have known better.
