Electric vehicles are probably much older than you assume.
They came up in parallel to the gasoline cars in the late 1800s and were surprisingly common during the early 1900s.

No native anglophone, but hearing “Cliff” I immediately think “Cliff Stoll”, so you are good with me! :-)
A bicycle is more practical
But has waayyy less style!

Would be kinda hard for an international company that has several work locations in the US… ;-)
Actually the US-defaultism I meant was the assumption that this specific DST date would be a thing outside the US (it’s not), applying it to a day that even has the word “international” in its very name.
And I am well aware that this is a valid shitpost.
Deserved some relativizing context nonetheless.
Hot take:
If DST still makes the evening on Halloween too bright, you actually don’t need DST.
Looks like you have been the only commenter so far to get the point of my own comment.
Seems like it was less obvious than I thought…
Yes, but in this states it’s in three weeks…
Thanks for the honest attempt to actually answer the given question.
I’m feeling slightly bad now, as it has been a rethorical one trying do point out the case of US-defaultism in the meme in an ironic way.
Thought it to be obvious myself, so decided against the /s tag here…
But daylight saving day is on March, 29. 🤔
And what does this strange word “international” mean???

I doubt the fun would last long for you…

My German company has a travel directive to use clean-slate Laptops and virgin burner phones when going to the US for some time now already.
There are reasons for that…
Solid breakfast!

How big is the actual effect on most of the US anyway?
I mean, most of the US is located surprisingly far to the south (e.g. Washington lying on a same latitude as the southern tip of Italy, Los Angeles as Northern Africa), so I would assume it to be not that big a deal, as seasonal changes of daylight are limited?

Sure I’ll support, but let’s talk about adequate weekend bonuses first.
And you sure won’t mind that I’ll take Monday off in exchange, will you?

Didn’t know that Linkedin has been around that long already.

When listening to a Michael Patrick Kelly song outside of a running car for the first time, it turned out it wasn’t a nerdy song about “Beautiful maths”, but just another boring love song called “Beautiful madness”:-)

There is a famous one here in Germany that everyone gets wrong.
The original line being sung: “Es tobt der Hass da vor meinem Fenster”, meaning “Hatred is raging in front of my window”.
What everyone hears: “Es tobt der Hamster vor meinem Fenster”, meaning “The hamster is raging in front of my window”.
l experienced that feeling for a while about 15 years ago, riding one of the then very rare 29" drop bar mountain bikes.
Looked like a legit frankenbike.
People turned their heads and started asking me about it out of the blue at predestrian crossings or so (a very unusual behaviour here in Germany).
With the somewhat similar looking gravelbikes becoming a thing during the recent years, the bike doesn’t stand out that much anymore, so situation is more relaxed now.
Although I miss the extra attention a tiny bit…
