You can throw a loosely packed snowball in a fun way and you can throw a compressed af snowball with intent to cause harm.

In all honesty single player GT7 is pretty much a training ground and sandbox for going online for real races. Which is fine if thats what you’re there for but would probably piss you off if you werent.
Money does become a limiting factor once you start trying to complete the car collection menus or make sure you always have the meta car for the daily races.
Ok yeah I feel you, I do miss that to a degree.
Some of the single player is still pretty challenging until you figure out how to cheese the AI. Running race hard tyres and a super lean fuel map so that I’m 2 seconds a lap slower than the fastest car but dont have to take 45 seconds to pit in a 10 lap race.
The non PP limited races are a joke, IMO those should have the payout linked to the PP of the car. You take a 450 into a 550 race, double payout. Take a 650 in, half payout. Also maybe dont call it PP because it makes talking about it sound like a dick joke.
IMO if you turn the difficulty up to hard and turn all the drivers aids off its plenty challenging for people new to sim racing, I see how veterans might find it a bit simple.
Gran Turismo 7 was the worst offender I’ve had in a long time. It was very pretty and very well put together but it just wasnt fun.
But a few years later and a YT rabbit hole or two and I decided to give it a go on a very basic simrig setup and… yep, theres the fun.
I can almost write a dissertation on this shit but the advice I give anyone who is stressing about the scales is a bit counter-intuitive.
Weigh yourself 4 or 5 times a day and write it down but dont give a fuck about the number for at least a month. If your diet and exercise are on point you just need to trust the process.
Some people fluctuate wildly based on body water, women especially around their menstral cycle. If you wait a whole week between weigh-ins and you had a salty carb heavy meal the night before your weigh in you can have lost 2lbs but be holding 3lbs of water thats going to disappear by the end of the day.
Essentially you need to get a feel for how much your weight swings on average throughout a day so when you have been doing everything right but the scales dont refect that you have a set of data you can examine to make sure you are overall trending the way you hope.
Wrong terminology, It’s denser.
If you take 2 people who are otherwise identical one with 10% bodyfat and one with 30% with the difference made up by muscle the 30% bodyfat guy will look way heavier even if they read the same on the scales.
I hear it more from people I’d consider pretentious, usually involving food or decorating.
I treat this one with a grain of salt, because its very good at some things and utterly fucking useless at others.
I needed to know what company made the gearbox in a certain car. No matter what I searched in 3 different search engines all I could find was people wanting to sell me stuff for the gearbox or gearboxes. I spent an hour before I asked ChatGPT and it immediately spat out “The gearbox is a 4l80 produced by Aisin transmissions” which I then spent some time verifying. At the core if search engines hadnt been enshitified, ChatGPT would be nothing more than a novelty. But because they have, its a sometimes useful tool that anyone with half a brain verifies.
If you treat it like gospel, yeah… your an idiot.
Its like when I talk about cars.
I dont speak in make and model, I speak in chassis and engine codes. Replacing an engine is a 1 weekend job that I could do half drunk back when I was drinking. Unless you’re swapping the engine for something not meant for that car I would describe that job as big but easy.
And then I remember a lot of people know make and model and thats it.
Without getting too foodie about it. Its blandness is its strength, it adds moisture and a creamy texture to foods, especially salads sandwiches and tacos without using unnecessary oil or animal fats and it counts as a fruit/vegetable in your diet.
