This has happened to me on Lemmy and Reddit too. I forget what it was I said - an instance where it seemed to me Russia was technically in the right about something - and there was a big old pile on and many downvotes. I think the assumption was “agree with Russia on anything and you’re wrong about everything”
I’m Russian for wanting the war in Ukraine to end, I’m Russian for citing American news sources about it, and I am apparently in a gay relationship with Vladmir Putin himself for pointing out well-documented Cold War history. I don’t know how or when Russia laid claim to all this stuff, but at this point I’ve got to respect their hustle.
Poles are essentially Catholic Russians and thus very sus.
The “russian” accusations from europissants are a lot like the “hamas” accusations of pissraelis.
