Why did you choose your Fediverse Instance, does it have a bigger meaning than it was a bigger instance or was it for a certain reason? Did you have to be on your instance you chose?

I was on lemmy.ee and when it shut down I wanted to join an instance that wouldn’t defederate unless it absolutely had to, .today was the first option I saw and it works well enough for what I need it for
