How did you get a picture of my living room?

I desperately want to become a self-hosting maniac but fuck is it complicated. I spent my whole weekend trying to figure out why I can’t ssh into my server after setting up the new ISP only for the server to mysteriously crash after I gave up and reboot to work perfectly without issue.

I wanna set up my own matrix for friends who want to escape discord, but I can’t find anything about how that will impact the jellyfin stream.

I found this thing called wizarr that will let me invite people with setup links instead of manually making accounts and handing them out on text messages, but it needs docker and when I look into how to do that it’s all talk about using it as a Developer and I barely know terminal commands, that’s like asking me to cast an actual spell.

I still don’t even understand what a logical volume is or why the recommended guide for jellyfin had me set one instead of just the default Linux file system!

This is cool as shit, I love being able to watch my movies anywhere and I get a deep pleasure from digitizing every dvd I can get my hands on, I’d even share them if I could figure out how to send out torrents safely, but I’m in way over my head and I have no one to ask that.
