At work when management said due to iranian drone strikes and sirens we are supposed to go to bomb shelter rather than straight home, in the beginning of this conflict they said we are allowed to work from home later they said work from home is no longer allowed , when i said to my dad it’s unfair that we are not allowed to go home, he said

they aren’t paying you for free, others are also in similar condition what’s the big deal?

is that right or wrong? Or am i just over reacting

Don’t mean to get too “political” or anything, but it does seem a bit relevant to consider this venn diagram is just a circle:

•people who would expect you to continue working from a bomb shelter when you could work from home

•people who actually started/profit from this war, and would love to normalize a world where continuing to go about business as usual during neverending warfare becomes as common as a morning commute.

    So yes definitely overreacting

It’s unfair, please find like-minded individuals and overthrow your government.

It’s a war. You are being bombed. I mean do want you want but, uhhh…, there is definitely consequences, and they might come from 10000ft.

You’re lucky that you can go to a shelter. Many workers aren’t allowed to stop working. Outside. Anyway, do you think you can outrun a missile?

I can’t imagine a scenario in which your employer doesn’t lead with explaining why you are required to do anything, except for in the military or course. I mean, how does that affect the work environment, that the employees don’t know why they aren’t allowed to go home to their loved ones before doing anything else.

Context: Where? Who is the employer?

Government employee (foreign services included) in country directly involved in conflict? Obey.

Private Company anywhere: Fuck off, I’ll decide for myself.
