I do this mostly/only with customers and some co-workers but if you’re my friend/loved family member and your ignorance can lead you away from virtue, you’re getting an earful (and you better be grateful I took my time to educate you, as I would’ve been had you done the same for me).

The opposite actually, it’s the only way to avoid unnecessary clashes because some people have temper tantrums when their half-baked ideology is challenged. 🤷

I’m tired of seeing this nonsensical argument too often on Lemmy so here it goes:

Ofc. I love some things about Kanye, the things that make his music just straight bops and his lyrics so fun and ridiculous at times, and I hate other things that are not related to his art. I know his weird anti-“Semitic” (Polish/Ukrainian people are not Semites but Anglo/Western cultures find any reason to hate other people, lol) rants are off-putting at the very least but I don’t know what that part of him has to do with “Flashing Lights” or “Guilt Trip”, they’re completely unrelated.

Now, when the art is a reflection/in praise of the artists’ ideology and takes, and those are morally and/or intellectually fucked, and you liked them, then that certainly says something negative about you. You can love or hate that one painting by Hitler and it would say nothing about you, but if you enjoy Mein Kampf you’re an immoral dummy, certainly.

Probably the safest bet, even if it’s annoying. Have you decided on a destination?

The fact they’d say it out loud without understanding what that would entail is what would make me think they’re probably in the spectrum. I’m not saying they would be Machiavellian (if they’re saying it casually, because some YouTuber covered it this week and the “Dark Triad traits that make you irresistible!!!”, and without any convoluted reason for how this could help them reach their objectives, they simply couldn’t be), just comically socially inept to the point that a diagnosis might come in handy.

Like I said, an ex-wild girl will still be adventurous and exciting, she will just have tamed herself so she’s more discerning (she likes facials in the context of a loving, commited relationship, for example 😅).

An ex-wild girl can be both very mature and exciting to be with, and someone you can build something solid with, but it has to be “ex” wild, past deep introspection and/or therapy. Ofc if you just wanna bang and don’t care about building anything, the wild girl is a better pick, lol.

I’m not, it’s just not something you understand. I meant Abrahamic monotheism, but that’s just because that’s the most complete uhh “understanding”. It’s not vague, it’s slightly debatable but it’s not open ended, and if we sat down and thought about God even without this Abrahamic background I’m sure we’d reach the same conclusions (unless we’re sociopaths trying to make excuses for ourselves). 🤷
